Obie began his legal career as a litigation attorney with Ball, Kirk and Holm, one of the premier personal injury firms in the State of Iowa. During that time, he tried cases in both federal and state court and also enjoyed the opportunity to brief and argue cases on appeal to both the Iowa Court of Appeals and the Iowa Supreme Court.
During his time as a litigation attorney in Iowa, Obie lectured and presented to members of the Iowa Trial Lawyers Association on various topics, including workers' compensation case management, witness preparation, and handling biomechanical experts. He also taught paralegal studies courses as an adjunct instructor in both Iowa and Arizona from 2002 to 2006.
On July 9, 2013, Obie opened Saddler Law Firm, LLC where he continues the fight to provide justice for those who have been injured due to the negligence of others.

Lauren A. Malone graduated from Arizona Summit Law School in 2014. The following year, she became a critical part of our team as a law clerk.
Originally from Chicago, IL, Lauren discovered her passion for both law and performing arts after relocating to Phoenix. While in the office, Lauren’s relishes her role as the primary drafter of legal documents, both prior to and after litigation has commenced. She is dedicated to assisting our clients as they navigate their way through the personal injury claims process and works closely with them to ensure that they receive compensation for all of their losses.
While out of the office, Lauren enjoys dancing, choreographing, playing her electric bass and drums, and performing spoken word poetry.

Mariel Burks is the Legal Secretary to attorney Obie Saddler Jr., at our firm. She assists primarily with personal injury cases that are in the pre-litigation stage. Mariel welcomes new challenges and looks forward to coming to work every day because of her passion for helping our clients.
Mariel is a graduate of Phoenix College where she completed the Associate in Applied Science Paralegal Studies Program.
Prior to joining our firm, Mariel had the privilege of volunteering at Community Legal Services where she was recognized for her outstanding work on behalf of indigent clients. She enjoys community work and looks forward to taking on more volunteer opportunities in the future.
Outside of work, Mariel enjoys reading, shopping, cooking, and trying new restaurants.
